Haverford Maine Coon Recommendations

We’ve had experience with many cats over the years and have found some products that we feel strongly enough about that we can recommend them.  We’ve listed just a few below.  Thanks!

Halo Chicken Treats

When it’s time for treats, I highly recommend Halo’s Liv-A-Littles Grain Free 100% Chicken Breast Freeze-Dried Treats. These are made in the USA with NO artificial ingredients. They are freeze-dried to achieve the ideal texture and lock in nutrients. Another treat that I recommend is Hartz’s Delectables Squeeze Ups.

Ultimate Scratching Post

Remember, while your kitten is small now, it will soon grow to be a long, large Maine Coon Cat. Maine Coons need tall, extremely sturdy scratching posts.
One of the best I’ve found is the SmartCat Pioneer Pet Ultimate Scratching Post. It was recently recommended as one of the Best Scratching Posts of 2021 by Wirecutter.

Kitten Food

All of our Haverford Maine Coon kittens are accustomed to and should be fed Merrick wet food along with Royal Canin dry kitten food.

Remember, if you prefer to feed something different, kittens must be transitioned slowly from this diet to avoid stomach problems.

Cat Litter

Our kittens are used to crystal litter and I recommend it for several reasons: It’s extremely absorbent, easy to use and controls litter box odor wonderfully. There are many different kinds of crystal cat litters on the market today. Click below to find out more about the advantages of crystal cat litter and where to buy it.
