Haverford Kittens

The price of our Maine Coon kittens is $2,300 and a reservation fee of $500 is highly recommended to be put on a waiting list for a kitten from the next available litter.  The fee is applied to the cost of the kitten but is not refundable if you decide not to buy a kitten. Kittens may go to their new homes when they are 12 weeks old. I From time to time we have retired breeding cats.  These cats make wonderful pets!  If you are interested in an adult Maine Coon, please let me know.

Haverford kittens are FELV/FIV negative and are also free of bacterial diseases and parasites. They have had their first set of immunizations for Feline Rhinotrachetis-Calci-Panoleukopenia at 8 weeks and another at 11 weeks, been given a wormer and are certified healthy by a veterinarian.  I do not recommend the Feline Leukemia or FIP vaccine as neither are necessary for indoor-only cats. Kittens must be spayed or neutered by 8 months of age, kept indoors and I strongly recommend NO declawing.  All kittens and cats have all been trained to use a scratching post and will not scratch furniture if provided one.  You’ll be glad to know that our kittens are extremely even-tempered and have adapted easily to homes that have included other pets, including dogs, other cats and even chickens!

We are especially proud that our adult breeding stock (as well as most of the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents) are screened annually for HCM.  Screening via ultrasound for HCM is currently the recommended method to aid in the reduction of this inherited disease. Haverford Maine Coons cannot guarantee that a cat will never have this condition, but we are dedicated to making every effort to produce the healthiest Maine Coon kittens possible.

By the way, I don’t ship kittens, but if you fly into Indianapolis International to pick a kitten up, I’ll be glad to make arrangements to meet you near the airport.
